The Elephant Rock
Created by children's book author, Sandy Harrison, our series of children's books provide age-appropriate support that parents can trust. Through relatable stories and hands-on activities, we empower children to believe in themselves, conquer their fears and express their emotions. Meanwhile, we equip adults with valuable tools to navigate the stages of grief alongside their children. We go beyond the book with exercises, online tools, and references to foster a supportive community.

This past summer my mother in law passed away which hit my kids (especially my son) very hard. He doesn’t like to talk about death but after he read this book he said “mom I love that book, you have to read it, it’s really good, I can’t tell you about it, you just have to rad it.” So we read it together and he says “does it make you think of grandma and how she is always with us? Can we write a letter to grandma?” Both my kids have their own book and truly felt comfort in reading and knowing grandma is always watching over them. I could genuinely find comfort myself. Highly recommend!
TheElephantRock book is a therapeutic book important for all children to read, especially those that have had a loss within the family unit. Not enough authors have published books to confront the issues that cause trauma to many children from a lack of coping skills at a time they are confused- exposed to questions about death and the afterlife. This book helps guide children through that grief process in a fun and interesting way. There are also many big colorful pictures to help the children further engage without becoming distracted. My children just love the book! 📚🤓
