The Elephant Rock
Created by children's book author, Sandy Harrison, our series of children's books provide age-appropriate support that parents can trust. Through relatable stories and hands-on activities, we empower children to believe in themselves, conquer their fears and express their emotions. Meanwhile, we equip adults with valuable tools to navigate the stages of grief alongside their children. We go beyond the book with exercises, online tools, and references to foster a supportive community.

The Memory Box at Elephant Rock is about a close relationship between a boy and his Uncle, believing in yourself and a love that goes on forever. Phee and his Uncle John are having an adventure. They are going to climb a mountain, but Phee is afraid of heights. Phee climbs the mountain with his Uncle’s encouragement. At the top they discover Elephant Rock. Uncle John surprises Phee with a memory box, but he leaves it behind. Soon after, Uncle John passes away unexpectedly. Phee writes him a letter and wants to put it in his memory box. Phee has to return to Elephant Rock to find his memory box, but that means he must climb the mountain alone. If not, he may never see his memory box again.

Thank you for opening your heart and sharing your book. It is a "Real Prize".
My loss occurred 56 years ago. I have clear memories of my loss. The book has clearly helped me understand my feelings. Yes.... I have a memory box. It is not in a secret place. I will soon finish a letter to my special angel. It will remain there until I am gone and we are together again. The book puts everything in a clear and precise order. The illustrations are perfect.
This book is really a big help for children going through losses and grief and is a motivational way of showing how kids can overcome this type of trauma.
I want to express my sincere gratitude for your beautifully written and illustrated children's book. I know parents who have lost a child and I believe this book will provide comfort and support to them and their children. I will highly recommend it to my current and future clients.
